We’re thrilled to unveil our second collaboration with Focus Features, a limited edition brooch crafted from reclaimed film silver, extracted from the original VistaVision 35mm reels of Bugonia during processing at Cinelab Film & Digital.
Modelled on one of the prop insects from the film itself, this honey bee captures the darkly comic essence of Bugonia. Throughout the film, bees serve as a potent symbol, a reflection on the fragility of modern society and the chaos beneath its surface.
To honour this central motif, the original prop bee was 3D scanned to preserve every intricate detail from the fine texture of its hairs to the segmented abdomen and delicately curved stinger. The result is a striking piece that merges cinematic history with exquisite craftsmanship.
Due to the finite nature of the reclaimed film silver, this brooch is available in strictly limited quantities.
All our jewellery is hallmarked at Goldsmith's Company Assay Office, guaranteeing the precious metal is of the finest standard. From The Silver Screen's personal hallmark is also applied to each piece.
