We’re thrilled to unveil our second collaboration with Focus Features, a limited edition necklace meticulously crafted from reclaimed film silver, extracted from the original VistaVision 35mm reels of Bugonia during processing at Cinelab Film & Digital.
The design of this necklace, the honey bee, is modelled on one of the prop insects from the film set itself. Bees form a central symbol throughout this dark and absurdist comedy, as a metaphor for the collapse of modern society. To model a pendant on this key motif in the film, the bee was 3D scanned to capture every minute detail, from the texture of the hairs to the segmented abdomen and curved stinger.
Due to the finite nature of this harvested metal, this is a limited range.
All our jewellery is hallmarked at Goldsmith's Company Assay Office, guaranteeing the precious metal is of the finest standard. From The Silver Screen's personal hallmark is also applied to each piece.
